KALQ: New keyboard layout for mobile devices

We all are familiar with the QWERTY keyboard as most of us are using such type of keyboard for our daily use. QWERTY is the most efficient typing layout for desktop and laptop but if you are using such keyboards in a smart phone or on a tablet some times it is annoying to type in such keyboards because of the congested arrangement of keys. So to avoid this problem scientists and researchers found a new way that we could type more efficiently in smart phones and tablets. KALQ was developed by researchers from the University of St. Andrews, and the Max Plank Institute for Informatics and Montana Tech. It was named after the row of letters at the right-bottom of the layout like wise of QWERTY layout. The researchers says that by practicing typing in KALQ, you can reach the QWERTY typing speed in 8 hours and can surpass your QWERTY typing speed with in 19 hours.

Printer to Create 3D Prototypes!

Until now you can print a 2D image of something using a printer or others. But now it is possible for one to make any object in 3 dimensional view using a printer manufactured by Cubify™.From the first view it drew loads of crowds at CES. More than the crowds, more than the fun look of it, the company made a great effort in creating such like one for the past 25 years. It allows one to essentially manufacture a design as a prototype and with minimal waste makes it more efficient than other. The printer is actually geared toward kids. Rajeev Kulkarni, VP and General Manager of 3D Systems, the creator of Cubify, told that they're really aiming these at 8 to 10-year-olds to make their own toys, science projects, crafts and more. Essentially, they're making it exciting for the next generation of designers and engineers.

Toshiba Announced Thinnest Android Tablet

Toshiba released a new Android Tablet REGZA AT200A claiming that it is the world’s lightest and thinnest 10.1-inch tablet available in the market. It is having weight-535g and from front-to-rear measures 7.7mm, and offers display of highly unbelievable wide view. It feels pretty attractive, especially with its magnesium chassis ie., a brushed metallic back made of magnesium alloy that looks very attractive compared with the plastic feel of rivals such as Samsung's Galaxy tablets. The AT200's glossy screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Although it's likely to launch with Android 3.2, Toshiba promises an over-the-air (OTA) update to the latest version, Android 4.0, though no date has been given.

Acer to Release Cloud Phone

According to the sources, Acer is now all set to launch its new Cloud Mobile smartphone. This new model by Acer is its first smartphone equipped with its cloud computing service, Acer Cloud.  This may be released in the third – quarter of this year, 2012, the Acer cloudmobile will be launched in the greater China. The Acer will also be launched in the 2nd quarter of the year, 2012 in North America. It is a personal cloud computing service to enable users to browse or play back PC-stored audio/video files or Office documents on smartphones anywhere and anytime. Acer CloudMobile is said to be an Ice Cream Sandwich running smartphone but not too much more is known about the device. It will combine a 4.3” HD screen with a svelte 9mm thickness and it include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The phone is also said to be tightly integrated with Acer’s AcerCloud technology, which is said to make the handset even more cloud-centric than other devices.

iPad 3 in 2012!

Good news for the fans of Apple that the tech giant is likely to relaese the brand new iPad to add golden feather to its crown. The iPad 3 release date and even the iPhone 5 release date are not yet officially announced by Apple representatives, but they are expected to be released in 2012. The iPad 3 is expected to have more enhanced features, better specifications, as well as more improved iPad apps. Because of these enhancements. It is expected to be slightly thicker than the second-generation model, seemingly to make room for a high-resolution Retina Display. Apple Inc. will feature an A6 processor built by Samsung for the new Apple iPad 3 and new iPhones released in 2012. Nokia to Launch Tablets

Cellphone maker Nokia plans to launch a tablet that runs on Microsoft's Windows operating system in the summer of 2012, the head of Nokia France Paul Amsellem told to a newspaper. Nokia has said using Microsoft Windows 8 for tablets could be an interesting opportunity for the company but it has not yet unveiled any launch plans. The tablet would compete with Apple's iPad. "In June 2012, we will have a tablet that runs on Windows 8," Paul Amsellem told. Earlier this year, Nokia-Microsoft entered into strategic partnership to counter their competitors in the market. It is exciting to see the new windows 8 tablet competing with iPad. If released, the table will the 1st tablet by NOKIA. This can be seen as the 1st step to fight back their competitors Apple and Google.

Intel-Ivy Bridge (3rd Generation Processors)

After the i-series processors 2nd generation processors Intel   presented the 3rd generation Intel Core processor, code named 'Ivy Bridge', that would power 2012 Ultrabook devices. Intel said phase two of the multi-year, industry-wide Ultrabook vision would begin with the launch of 'Ivy Bridge' next year. Ivy Bridge, Intel’s 22nm successor to the currently dominant Sandy Bridge generation of processors, has been the subject of most of the talk at IDF this past week. Nokia Announces Belle OS

            Nokia the mobile communication giant announces the new OS and unveils new smart phones last week. The new one Symbian Belle OS is something very similar to the iOS and Google's Android. The sudden arrival of Belle after the Symbian Anna OS will bring a stiff competition between the software giants. The new Belle OS gives good User Interface to end users. Instead of three home screens the new OS supports six.and widgets can now be re sized to any type.
